Morning,

I'm looking for a media blasting company in east Manchester.

The usual company I use seems to be closed.

I have 30x steel parts I need blasting with garnet.

I can only offer a slight consolation mate,

I used to do alot of media blasting with ally oxide and once went to a MACH convention in birmingham (around this time of year) and they had an awful lot of media blasting companies there, they would be able to help you.

Why does it have to be garnet? never heard of that before.

Will vapour blasting be ok.?

If so these castings have just come back from a place in Warrington. So just a short jolly down the M62 for you. – They were pretty manky when they went after spending 16 years hidden behind a fairing and thus never cleaned by it's caveman owner, but have come back like a new finish on them.

I can supply you details of the business if you require.

Hi, they are small matchbox sized parts, made from mild steel. I get them blasted to remove machining marks prior to chemical blackening. It gives them an even finish.

I've previously had them blasted with garnet, but it could be something similar I guess, glass bead wouldn't be abrasive enough I don't think.
