I bought this plans catalogue many years ago and made my first two models using plans chosen from it they being a stationary marine steam engine and Martin Evans Simplex loco.

As I am contemplating my next “project” I wondered if a more up to date version is still being published. My present copy shown is used regularly (as you can probably see) because of the very handy data charts it also contains.

In the meantime I am looking at J.A.M. De Waal’s gauge 1 CLOISTER as a possible next model. If any one knows of any build logs etc. for this model or anything else of interest concerning it I would be very interested to hear.

I would love to build something bigger but I shall be 70 in a few weeks and time is now beginning to be much more of a consideration than ever before – what a nuisance!

Unfortunately there are over 3,000 to go though with plenty of boats and planes mixed in, so you may wish to narrow the search down a bit.

Edit: set it to 100 per page, choose 'newest' then search from the last one backwards. You will quickly find Tich and the Suffolk Dredging Tractor, for example.
