As mentioned in previous posts I use a Sandvik parting tool it came with the lathe but no spare inserts yesterday the insert shot out and despite searching I cannot find it ! The insert is a N151.2-300-5E I have looked around but cannot find suppler so does anyone else use this insert and do they know of a supplier ? I know there are other inserts they will fit into the blade but I'm not conversant with them so would appreciate any comments / suggestions please.

Plenty on e-bay though mostly from the US but postage should not be too much for a couple of inserts, this one looks a reasonable buy for 3

Edit actually several on UK e-bay, I forgot I had been looking at teh US one last night, just put the coad into the e-bay search box.

Jason thanks for the link as you say not a bad price even with postage funny thing when I did a ebay search this morning I didnt get as many hits as I just have.

I suggest you look at Cutwell Tools Korloy equivalents, a little over £5 + vat (and postage) More for wider ones.
