I am having difficulty finding a supplier of oxygen to use with MAP-PLUS gas as shown. I have a BERNZ-O-MATIC twin hose and burner nozzle that has twin CGA600 thread fittings so the oxy bottle would need the same thread as the gas bottle pictured.

I have tried a few local gas suppliers but none can help. Does anyone know where I can buy an oxy bottle as described around the MK/Northampton area?

It is my understanding that the rules may have changed since you got your kit. My small Oxygen bottles have a small threaded brass outlet. The intention is, I guess, to avoid mistakes followed by explosions.

You may find it easier to find an alternative connector, than an old-style bottle.

          Cheers, Tim

Are the fuel and oxygen connectors not opposite handed threads like all other oxy-fuel burners?

You will need to change the regulator to match current readily avaliable small oxygen cylinders. Doesn't look much more to get a pair so you have the option of using small thread MAPP cylinders too should those be less costly. Of course with Rothenberg et al using CGA 600 form MAPP and other gases they are readily available. CGA 600 adapters all seem to be for fuel cylinders not oxygen.

                Clive.

Have a look at this one

They do the oxygen cylinders to suit too.

Weird. A few days ago I posted a link to small )2 cylinders on CuP alloys' site.

Its gone… (the post not the site).
