      Call me patriotic but I have been after one of these lathes for years, they were build about approx 45 mins or so from my home town.

                Good choice. Some time could you do a close up of the headstock plate please. I'm curious as to what info they needed on it compared to the Boxford one which is much smaller.

                  Here you go.

                  She is an Imperial model built in 1980 as for as I have been able to find out,

                  The owners manual and parts manual are both printed in 1980 as well.

                      Nice score!

                      We useed these in high school and if we couldn't kill them no one will !

                      There is a 260 g on ebay that looks good but the 5k asking price scared me off !

                      It looks like your unit still has the original paint so it hasn't been tarted up which unfortunatel many are to cover up the years of abuse .
