          I stand to be corrected, but I don't think you can. The dial is merely a nut on a adjusting screw. Most if not all boring heads work in the same way. There are numerous home made designs including one in ME last year if you need to see how they are adjusted.

            HOWARDT is correct. No vernier scale on these items (might be on very large, high quality boring heads). Scale simply shows fractions of the screw thread pitch advanced each turn. They may be in metric (tenths/hundredths) or imperial (any increment).

              I have a 50mm Soba and as Haward T says the scale is engraved directly into the head of the feed screw so can't be reset. Never found it to be a problem.

              If you do want to "zero" it then make a mark on the head opposite the "0", bit of tipex on the head and then a light scriber line will leave a mark in the tipex
