I am wanting to use the clutch arrangment for another attachment to be used in the tail stock, has anyone made the die holder and could explane the principal and some dimentions Please

I saw a tailstock die holder of the John Paynes design many years ago at one of the shows.

Hi John
Here's my one . it has a sliding feature and when it reaches the depth required it come off . its not a clutch but it works well
