What a great day out! The engine performed 100%!

75mph where allowed with 14 coaches in tow at which it sounded fantastic, couldn't believe how many people were watching/waving/photographing ALL along the route there and back – even when we got back at 11pm!

A very capable loco shown here being mobbed at York station!

          Hi Alan,

You deserve a reply, if only to say I'm well jealous!

            Thanks Neil,

I wondered if I had used invisible ink!

Being a keen photographer I was hoping to get some nice shots – but there were so many people everywhere it became 'difficult'

I just enjoyed it for the day out as it was, with a visit to the National Railway Museum as well!

Alan what a wonderful sight, it's taken some years to complete and I must take my hat off to the Tornado people certainly for their tenacity.

              Regards

              Paul
