          I have seen far worse junk that groups hope to restore to working steam locos.

          Given its providence it should be saved and run, not left in a museum. Although a lot of 18″ track and locos were sold to farmers in the Fens after the Great War they have all gone. In addition the 18″ gauge does not appear to be popular (ref: Wikipedia) in the UK. There is a 18″ gauge heritage railway outside Albert on the Somme battle field using ex Great War railway bits: https://www.petittrainhautesomme.fr/
