To help the present situation – I bought a consignment of toilet rolls cheap from a well know auction site. When I received the package there where only half the number of rolls that I expected. I connected the seller and told him – he sent a message back asking if I had unwrapped one of the rolls. I hadn’t but I was curious to work out what he was trying to tell me. When I took the wrapping off and unrolled a few sheets I read the printing on each sheet – it said “Please use both sides”

Fit a stepper motor and face recognition so that when you sit on the loo it automatically orients the roll the right way for whoever is using the loo.

It could even record how new visitors turn the roll for future reference.
