On a whim [as one does], I bought some of these at a good price on ebay

[probably some of this actual batch, because the corrosion looks very familiar]

To my surprise, however … despite the prodigious amount of information writ thereon, I cannot find a data-sheet.

Only a few pins, but ADJ and RTN have me guessing.

      … any helpful suggestions ?

        Hi,

RTN is the “negative” of the output voltage (+5V)

Adj is a voltage trim pin You could try a 10k preset across +5V and RTN with wiper to ADJ pin and see how you get on. If you want 5V just leave it unconnected.

        Robert.

Power General were bought by Ault in the early 2000’s This is a PSU designed for telecomms applictions (48V input is the clue). Try this for a similar units datasheet.

Edit they say a 1k pot for adjust, my 10k guess was on the safe side.

If you needed to derive 5V on your electric golf cart this is what you need as they were 48V dc. some were 8 X 6v others were 6 X 8V. Noel.

Also usable on some Power over Ethernet (PoE) systems
