I used to get my magazines from a local news agent but changed to direct subscription because they were about three months behind .Also some would not arrive at all and would get two copies of others. At first the copies would arrive about five days after publication. Then delievery slowed down and I saw that they were posted in Melbourne in stead of the UK. Now I am still waiting for Novembers Model Engineers Workshop and the last Model Engineer that I received was No 4599 9th-22nd November. Is any one else in Australia in the same boat or am I the only one

I'm in Cairns and received MEW 274 a couple of weeks ago. I would expect the current issue (275) to arrive in a few weeks. Seems about normal. ISTR in past years delivery could slow down a little this time of year due to Christmas rush etc.

            Hello Michael,

Sorry to hear your deliveries are slow.

All our overseas issues are sent out from the UK by Air, essentially at the same time. Many overseas newsagent copies go by surface mail.

Subs copies should only take a few days to get to the country of destination, we are then at the mercy of the local postal services.

We are aware of a handful of countries where there are local delays and Australia seems to be one of these, but subs copies should still be faster than newsagent ones.

I can confirm that. While I have 274 in my hot little hands, the local newsagent still has 272 on display. I'm sure at least 10 days of the delivery time is between Sydney and here as that seems to be typical.
