I have just received my order from that big online shop AMZn….Fr.

I ordered FreeCAD 1.0 – Learn by doing  which turns out to be an excellent read – 360 pages long, tutorials, exercises worked examples etc.

Ordered on Sunday evening and arrived Wednesday morning. I can’t believe that I could get a quality text book A4 format in English for written for a limited audience so quickly.

Do AMZn …  have some sort of prniter that can produce soft back books at rapid speed ?

Yes. It’s called Print on Demand. You put your order in and their machine prints the pages and covers and binds it, ready for shipping. It has spawned a whole industry of self-publishing of books that otherwise would not get published en masse by traditional publishers. You can write your book, upload it to Amazon and wait for the orders to roll in. Of course, you have to do the marketing to make the last bit happen. There in lies the rub.

Hi Bob, where did you get the Freecad 1. Learn By doing print from please?

I have been using Turbocad but having upgraded my laptop I find that my version is not as it should be on windows 11.
