As far as I can see this society doesn't have a web site. Does anyone know if they are having an open day this year and, if so, when it is?

Dennis I live near the field and have just seen signs, I think they were advertising this weekend coming.

I will check next time I go out.

"Fareham & District Society of Model Engineers have their "Steam Railway Weekend" on the 26th and 27th of this month (July). This is the annual public open day, so there are also a lot of other attractions and refreshments too. Open from 10:30 to 17:00 both days. Admission charge applies but car parking is free. Set your sat-nav for PO15 5DY ! "

I'm embarrased by having to ask again… Does anyone know if they are having an open day this year? It's so difficult to find any publicity about it.

Perhaps I should have updated the date in the subject. For anyone in the south who may be interested I have now discovered that their website is http://www.fdsme.org.uk and their open weekend is always the last complete weekend in July. That means that it is next weekend.
