It has been a couple of years since I was able to get to an engineering show. A regular supplier was someone selling solid carbide drill, milling and routing bits. All on 3.2mm shanks, many with indexing collars. I assume these can from PCB manufacturing and were swapped out after a certain number of hour running.

Now I need some more but I cannot find this, or any other supplier, through the magic of Google.

So – does anyone have a website address of this or another supplier of these really useful cutters?

Peter, Maybe not local to you, although Banggood may have a dispatch warehouse in the UK I think – Anyhow, take a look here:

          **LINK**

I use the 15deg 0.1mm engraving bits for isolation routing of the copper tracks on PCB's – buy them in packs of 10, and generally get 2 or 3 duds in the pack – not ground properly and raise horrid burrs, but the price for a 10 pack can't be beat..

The drill bits and routing bits I have also purchased quite a number of – found no duds there so far..

Shipping to/within UK should be good – to me in Namibia is mostly pot-luck…

            Try ESR electronics in Cullercoats….

(just up the road from me…)

The 1.5mm router bits are useful for very tiny milling. Even did a pen decal logo into wax on my CNC router with a 0.3 mm cutter. Got all mine from various e-bay sellers at £5 to £7 for 10, so not pricy even if they take a month to arrive.

                Regards

                Richard.

                  Good links. Thank you.

ESR had slipped my mind. Not seen them for a while.

I have had cutters from Ebay and they have been fine – it can be a bit f a lucky dip for delivery and getting exactly what you want among the endless choices.

Finding the magic search term is often the key.
