hi chaps. Ok I am building a 7 1/4 battery locomotive. It’s steam outline. I am planing on using a Chinese 750w 36v motor. But as anyone who knows these motors finding sprockets to suit is not easy. So if some kind person could please let me know who sells sprockets and chain to suit these motors it would help a lot. Also what size ratio should I be looking for. It’s not for pulling loads of people, maybe just upto two. Thanks

          What is the shaft diameter?

Most of the online bearing/belting/drive sites sell standard sprokets for the various pitches of chain with just a pilot hole so all you need to do is decide on chain pitch, and number of teeth then get a sproket and machine the bore to suit your needs.

Have a look on the Parkside Electronics web site, lots of info on motor size and gearing that may help. Lots of useful stuff there.
