I am wrestling with the smokebox arrangement for Torquay Manor, broadly to the Martin Evans design.
Some years ago my father helpfully made up a steam tee for me. My task now is to somehow connect this to the 2 pipes from the superheater whilst also accommodating a (yet to be designed) removable spark arrester and allowing for access to clean out the boiler tubes.
The Torquay Manor plans and articles do not assist with a set-up for slide valves. My other usual references (Martin Evans’ book, Pehrhos Grange plans, Henry Greenly) are either little or no use.
Can anyone recommend a useful source of information on this?
