info on soba 6″ rotary table

Not had any problems with mine that I have had for about 3 years.

There is a slightly better quality Vertex one on Homeworkshop at the moment, may be worth a look

To be honest they are the same as the rest of the modern 6" tables out there, most are decent but because of the price you still get the odd rough one filtering thru and needs a bit of work.

If it was me I would pay a bit extra and go for the better quality vertex

Based on my own experience of the Soba I would recommend examining the example you buy if possible. My first one was impossibly stiff and had to be exchanged, a fault which would have been easily apparent on inspection. I believe the manual is downloadable and would be worth a look in advance of purchase.

I have no experience of the Vertex but I wouldn't want to be without their excellent tapping chuck.

Just very recently I purchased a 6" Soba rotary table, complete with three dividing plates, from Chronos (usual disclaimer) and am very pleased with it. No problems whatsoever, so can recommend them.

One thing to remember with Soba, they are a supply company and not a manufacturing company.

All their goods are bought it and badged up. It however means that what they buy this month may not be what they buy next month and it's usually all down to price and supply.

Ironically Vertex is the same, they also buy in but tend to buy only Taiwanese goods which are usually a mark up on the Indian goods.

Another satisfied user of the 6" Soba rotary table here. My only criticism is that the slots for mounting it vertically don't fit the slots on my mill but that's easily overcome.
