        Yes, that works on mine also so would probably work on yours also beeza. But it only stops the quill from retracting, it can still move down. It doesn’t actually lock the spindle from moving.

          Hi, it’s also handy for when you use a pilot drill for many holes, and then use a larger drill. By setting  the height of the table to the larger drill, you can then set the depth gauge as a back stop for the pilot drill, so you don’t have to wind the quill down a long distance for each of the holes you need to pilot drill, and then release it when you are ready to enlarge the holes.
