Dead Proxxon – can anyone fix it?

My beloved Proxxon long neck angle grinder grumbled when I turned it on – turned straight off, tried it again and nothing, no noise, no smell, nothing. Short of sending it back to Germany can anyone fix it? Its not a complicated thing, either ic blown or motor goosed but electronics aint my bag. Fingers crossed, Nigel.
