For Sale: Myford ML7 classic metal lathe

Date added: 17/01/2020 22:37:10

  • Category: Lathes
  • Year: 1970
  • Price: £800.00

Includes a 3 and 4 jaw chuck, drill chuck, 4-way tool post, headstock and assorted turning tool set, knurling & burring tools, mechanical spring micrometer, 7 slotted faceplate, grinding wheel, and selection of centre drills, collets, spare centres and Myford change wheel gears. Motor is an AEI rated Amp at 1425 RPM. Lathe chuck speeds on the drive pulley system are manually adjustable to 860, 480 and 276 RPM. Owned by a retired research engineer for over 40 years and used for hobby craft and gifted to me some 4 years ago, but I have not been able to make good use of it so would like to see it taken on by an enthusiast metal worker or hobbyist. I believe it was made around 1950, and although it does not have a Myford plate, it has a serial number 1007, possibly purchased from the factory where he worked. This lathe is missing some of its gear/pulley guards and it is a condition of sale that the purchaser accepts full responsibility to ensure suitable guards are fitted before use and to comply and operate it in accordance with the H&S Act. This is a used item and is not returnable, Buyer will need to collect from Louth in Lincolnshire.
