5" gauge coal fired model of the classic Great Western branch line engine. Built to high standards by an established model engineer (10 5" gauge steam locos completed and in use and 5 electric also in use). This recently completed model comes with all the necessary certificates for immediate use. Steam test completed April 6th 2019, so ready to use straight away. Steams freely and runs well on the club track. More photos and details can be sent on request. I have three videos I can send, one of me driving it round our local track which includes a 1 in 60 gradient (up !) from a standing start and two on a rolling road - one running fast the other more slowly - noisy but you can see close up how it runs. I have to say it was a delight to drive. This was built to the design by Neville Evans using the drawings produced by Reeves and their castings (cylinders are bronze) - modified slightly with two injectors as the pump in between the frames is so difficult to access for servicing, and a hand pump of course. The lubricator is behind the front buffer beam and will need adjusting in time when the engine has been run in properly as it is over oiling at the moment which I always find best in the initial stages. It is best if you come and collect - I'm not far from Silverstone - but it does come with a wooden storage/packing case so may be sent by courier if required but at your cost and risk.
