Modelenginenews seems to be down and I’m not sure who has been funding that for the last few years after Ron’s death. Maybe they have calle dit time or hopefully are just a bit late in paying for another year. You can probably find most of the content on Webarchive.

Adrain seems to have taken over where MEN left off with Adriansmodelaeroengines.

Yes I agree, it would be awful if it all was lost. It was a huge site with loads of information that Ron created until sadly he left us for the great workshop in the sky.

I wonder how much it cost to keep the site active?

Ron recognised that neither a website or himself were immortal and made a copy of the whole MEN news website that was available as a DVD, together with the 2 collections of engine construction drawings.  Ron’s valedictory message suggested that he wanted to make the engine drawings available to all but I think he ran out of time to clarify this so the copyright issues seem to be unclear.  I bought the DVD from Ron so have access to all of it.  The whole DVD is 1.8 Gb which is not that large by modern standards so would fit on a small SD card.

I can still access Rons site from my Bookmarks. I have just Googled- Rons Model Engineering and Model I/C Engines and it came up, no problem.
