What's the best way to finish them?

Just wondering if anyone has any tips for getting a good finish on crank pins and journals for I/C engines?

![]() Moderator 22555 forum posts 2634 photos 1 articles | Fine Emery cloth or wet n dry on a flat stick will give that final finish and take them down to size. Cover the lathe up well, I tend to lay a piece of board or card on the bed so there is no risk of things getting caught in the chuck. |
