I just bought a Colchester Bantam 600 lathe. I am laaking for an owners manual and a parts manual. I think this is an excellent machine.

You should be able to buy a manual and parts lists here, contact Tony at: Tony@lathes.co.uk .

The Yahoo group ColchesterLathe-User may be able to help you, in the Files section there is a Bantam manual for download. I don't know if it is for your version.

The subject was also discussed on this forum.

Regards

Thor

I have got a "Bantam" manual on CD which covers the Eagle, Hawk, and Condor models. Trouble is, none of them had these names on the lathe, and the "600" badge just refers to the "600 Group" of companies, which include Colchester, Pratt Burnerd etc.

As this is a pdf. file I can't reproduce it here with ease, but if you message me with your email address will send a pic from the front page so you can check against yours, with a view to copying the CD.

Robbo, worth noting that PDF viewers usually have a 'snapshot' tool which allows you to copy an image of any part of a doc such as the front page. You can then save the photo as a jpg which can be posted here. Or use the Windows clipping tool.
