How is this made?

![]() 6295 forum posts 222 photos | On another forum there is a discussion about reforming 3D printed blobs into rivet heads using cup burs like this. I'm wondering how they are made. If it were say 2 inches diameter I could imagine cutting, hardening, grinding but these things are barely 1mm diameter. |

![]() 6295 forum posts 222 photos | A little disappointed that nobody has taken up this challenge. My best guess is to bang them onto some kind of male die that has been made by EDM using perhaps a sharp blade one tooth at a time. Harden after forming and not bother to try any secondary sharpening. |
