I have a SIP BNDSAW, where the switch went wrong. Sip have supplied a new switch, but seem unable to provide any Wiring deatails.

Does anyone have a copy of the Wiring as I dare not connect the new switch, as I may cause more damage.

It does seem extrodinary that SIP cannot privide this !!!..

Any assistance would be a great help

Thank you

Having been caught out many times before, I now try to remember to take notes and photos as I dismantle.

Good luck!

Use an old mobile phone and film any complicated work you do so you can review it if required

So we are talking on / off two button with no volt release ?

Can you post a picture showing back of switch with terminals / spade connections ?

In case it helps anyone to help him, it appears that the 14" SIP bandsaw with the above number is a WOOD cutting bandsaw.

For reference:

Edit: it looks to be the same as the JET 14SFX model, for which there is a manual with wiring diagram here:

Reference pictures for comparison:

Good morning to everyone. I hope the following may enable someone to be able to assist me. Everybody has been, as always so helpful.

  • 4 spade terminals poking out of hole where the switch is to go and a switch with 4 terminals...
  • it looks like it is simply a matter of pushing the spades onto the terminals, BUT
  • the live feed is fed off into the heart of the machine and then returns to the switch, so when the switch is OFF, something within the machine is live???

In pictures:

  • the DKLD DZ-6-2 [240v] switch has connections 3,4, 7 and 8 as follows:

Shorten them? If not directly on your photo storage, you can likely load them to an email, which will almost certainly offer options on file size. Once done, copy and paste to your album.

Can you not put them in your album to the same size as your Minnie ones

Then upload from album into thread ?

Just a thought.
