Hello everyone,

i own a prebuilt Clayton steam wagon 2“. Most of the castings and the boiler are missing. I found out that castings and other parts are available at Blackgates Engineering and Reeves.

Does anyone know if there are differences in the quality of the castings and the other parts like the boiler? Are the castings made both by themselves or are they coming from the same „factory“?

Many thanks!

I buy from Blackgates as find them better value for money /quality.

Thanks for this!

Do you also have experience with the boiler kit? I‘ve seen that blackgates offers a kit with flanged parts...

My son bought a flanged kit for a loco last year - superb. Saves a lot of hard work

There is a you tube video showing them making the flanged plates.

Hi everyone,

I found two of these casting for my Clayton. Does anyone know what they are for? Are these the pistons?
