![]() Moderator 19906 forum posts 2169 photos 1 articles | Well I've only had one postal delivery since Xmas eve which is down to the post office who I'm sure are doing their best at this difficult time trying to clear the backlog and struggling on with low staff numbers. As has been said in the previous 299 thread all the mags go out at the same time and after that MTM don't have much control over their delivery. |

Perhaps DMB missed the Prime Minister ordering a 6 week national lock-down on Wednesday? 1.4 million Brits have Covid at the moment. 62000 new cases and 1400 deaths yesterday. And the infection rate is rising steeply. These are not normal times! Dave |

On sale date is 8 January - tomorrow.
I haven't got my copy yet, but we are not getting daily postal deliveries here - please anticipate unavoidable delays. Neil |

![]() Moderator 18490 forum posts 720 photos 78 articles | Please bear with us. There has been unwelcome slippage in production schedules due to various lockdowns. I'm sure everyone will appreciate that we are not always being able to produce magazines in time for the provisional on sale date in the previous issue. Editors have no control over this, scheduling is done centrally across all magazines. Magazines are mailed out in advance of general sale, and normally arrive around Monday or Tuesday before an on sale date on the following Friday. It is clear that the Royal Mail are struggling to achieve regular deliveries and there are additional delays in the system. Yesterday I got a first class letter dated 19 December that was posted in Birmingham (about 30 miles away), that's over two weeks for what would normally be a next day delivery. We are also only getting 2 or 3 deliveries a week. This is totally beyond our control, under these circumstances all we can do is ask people to be patient and accept that some people may not receive their copies until a week or more after others get the same issue. ![]() 1244 forum posts 44 photos | Yes indeed, mine arrived this am just in time to take with me on my 4 weekly trip to the hospital. Some repeat stuff, but I was very interested in John Crammonds version of L.C. Mason's Small lathe. Well done John. Not really interested in re-building an MGB - had enough of that when trying to keep a VW Beetle running. But I do understand that some people enjoy that sort of stuff. But still, mustn't complain, after all, we are still receiving the mag. Long may it continue. Thanks, Neil. Peter G. Shaw |

My previous issues were with missing mags and how MTM managed that, but that has all been sorted AFAIK and a very pleasant phone conversation with a helpful and competent supervisor augers well for the future - but I cannot recall noticing a promise of early delivery, and as far as coughing up money, the magazines are actually cheaper if you subscribe! |

![]() 2622 forum posts 1225 photos | Hi, MEW this morning and ME a few days ago. The MGB or the MG Midget were two cars I would have liked to have had in my younger days the Midget being the more favourite of the two, but both were out of my price range and they weren't very practical for carting Disco gear about in, so I never got either of them. Probably got the money for one now, but not really interested in having one now. Regards Nick. |

![]() 1086 forum posts 42 photos | We had 3 or 4 ratty Triumph Spitfires in the family because everyone, even my 5'2" stepmum found the Midget too small inside. Father did have a late (black bumper) MGB GT in the early eighties which is the only car with overdrive I have ever driven. |
