286 forum posts 1 photos | I have inherited a Moore & Wright No: 282 Automatic centre punch. (It’s the one with a spherical end.) I appreciate that turning the spherical part will adjust the force with which the point marks the workpiece but I’m worried about turning it beyond the range and breaking it. Does anybody have a copy of the Instruction for this tool please? Very many thanks in anticipation. |

1504 forum posts | I doubt that you will break it. if it's built like the Eclipse, it will have a slipping clutch. |

Hi If you overtighten the adjustment the punch will not cock it properly and will not work. Eric Do you have one? I assume that turning Clockwise will tighten it but if I turn Anticlockwise, will it spring apart? With best wishes and thanks
