Have the dates and venue for MEX 2018 been confirmed yet, please?

Hello John,

I'm afraid not. There's no official confirmation of what's happening yet. Diane has been the main organiser of recent MEXs and with her out of the loop for eight months I think it unlikely to happen in 2018.

The MMEX is on 18-21 October. I like that one.

The Manchester Model Engineering Exhibition - 23rd - 24th February 2019.

If that helps anyone.

Neil,

That is a real shame, but I understand why with Diane being out of the loop for an extended period.

I do hope that the exhibition takes place next year. With such a long history surely Model Engineer cannot let the exhibition die.

For us in the frozen north it's been dead for years, once it moved from London it became very difficult to get to, like it or not central(ish) London is easy to get to

And the midlands mex is probably closer (and easier to get to, if using your own transport).

Try living in East Anglia!

With the demise of the Spalding M E and Hobbies Show, the journey to any show is at least 85 miles!

Wish that someone would reinstate the Spalding Show, or run a Show at the East of England Show Ground.

There is a splendid arena there!

Howard,

Are you 15 miles from Peterborough?

Peterborough to the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre is listed as only 71 milessmiley

Only 63 for me! Shaws Coaches would get at least two passengers if they organised a trip on the Thursday, especially if they picked up/dropped off in Stamford. smiley
