126 forum posts 32 photos | Hi have recently picked up a pride of penhryn but it does not quite hold preasure leaks are from the regulator gland so a quick strip of the reg chest has reveled that the gland meterial is completly missing and the gland nut its self is badly worn so will be making a new one. The main things i need recomended are being the fact its around 20 years old what other parts are worth checking? It was sold as running but the reg cant even hold 20psi as the leak is that server so defo needs a winter rebuild. So advice on things to check would be very helpfull it does currently have a hydraulic certificate but the steam has run out last week. Thanks mike |

237 forum posts 10 photos | hi. depending what you plan to do with it. check all the clack valves are free. you are able to get water into the boiler. once leaks sorted and all checked, steam it up and see what else if anything needs sorting. michael |
