Silly Old Duffer, thanks for that about the potentiometer, I tried many turns both ways but still nothing. I might try uploading again to see what happens.

09/12/2016 17:42:35

My first time with the Arduino Uno too, and after getting something like " done uploading ",, I get bugger all on the LCD apart from the light !!. Oops. Any thoughts anyone please, bearing in mind I dont really know what Im doing.

Michael, the skip was outside of an engineering business/ hydraulics repair shop (Derek Lane & Co near Exeter, now moved ). It makes me wonder what else they chucked away. Scrapyards wont let people wander around them down here .... health and safety.

Hello all, found this lathe tool sitting on top of a huge pile of scrap in a skip, with no insert in it . A box of DNMG inserts for £8 off ebay , £3 for a screw and shim, milled a few thou off the top, bingo, a cracking addition for the workshop !!.

Didnt come with the holder of course.12092016192.jpg

Hello all, up in Lincolnshire last week, so we called into East Kirkby for another visit........fantastic to see the Lancaster again. Went on it for a taxi ride a few years ago, a humbling experience.

Just like Poldark. How an organisation can spend so much on a drama which ends up crap. Lovely stories ruined by mostly poor acting , over acting and many mistakes. Nice women though.

Thread: Free Taps and Dies.
19/09/2016 09:46:52

Hello all, taps and dies off to a new home emotion.

18/09/2016 12:28:47

Hello all, right, rescued these from my old workplace. An ammo box of taps and dies. Some large hexagonal dies, Whit, BSF, UNF etc , up to 1 1/2 , and more normal sizes of the same threads. Some largish diestocks as well plus some odds and sods. Rather than throw this lot away, I reckon someone would be able to put them to good use.

Free, but collection only from Teignmouth, Devon.  First to PM me can have em.
