Thread: Drilling tiny holes.
I do this often when making violin/cello bows and agree with the above. The tip of a centre drill and sharp drill bit in Eclipse pin chuck, withdrawing frequently. I do this in a Fobco at medium speed - I have electronic speed control. I keep a supply of new TiN bits in the smaller sizes and when they're no longer sharp I don't mess about - I throw them away
Thread: Vacuum Cleaner Recommendations
I had a Rowenta in the workshop for 35 years, but have just bought Henry number 3 which has replaced it. The Screwfix one is highly recommended by others, but very satisfied. No nonsense - and British.
Thread: seig SX3 dead???
I have always found Arceurotrade to be a very reliable and helpful supplier.
Thread: Mitutoyo micrometer
Mitutoyo are just excellent. I mostly use the digital caliper, and it is accurate. I have other cheaper ones but keep coming back to this. I make violin bows so my level of accuracy is high but not as critical as many on this site.
Thread: ER32 collet use.
My AVG programme also kicked in.
