Michael,
Think I replied to this chap some while ago scanned in drawing and emailed but got no response so gave up (could be a different person) but got the feeling that he/they wanted to do them comercialyTell him to search Dag Browns articles on "Anna" and he will find what he is looking for. Made the 7.25" beast but sold it plus all drawings and articles.

Thread: Extra Special Subscription Gift for Model Engineers’ Workshop
30/10/2013 17:12:55

The subscription gift is totally free.

However, due to the high cost of postage there will be a small postage charge for the gift to overseas readers.

UK readers will get the gift post free as normal

This charge will appears as subscription price + gift postage.

Many overseas readers have emailed me to say they would like a gift and would be prepared to pay the extra postage.

In fairness to UK readers the same offer will be available to you as well as to Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada and anywhere else worldwide.

will this include long time subscribers and can we all cancel our subscription and then renew for a free gift......

Thread: Lorch.Schmidt lathe
23/10/2013 04:24:07

Hi Geoff
There should be a small plate on the motor stateing voltage etc; think you skipped the baby with the bathwater (the power supplies) but suspect 24v DC. unusual for a lorch but may have come originally with 120v AC.
Let us all know when you are selling and where

There are also 2 more adjustments you could look at
1. Under the crosslide there should be a locking nut check this out for either slackness or even being
loose.
2. Jib strip adjustment grab hold of the variose parts of the cross slide be quite brutal and push backwards an forwards to check if any movement. if so adjust the grub screws
I hope thit is of some small help

Which moderator hates ME so much that they would delete my posting, I did not know that ME Moderators lived in a Hitler regime...
Now I was thanking Dianne and for her team for a very well thought out and superb issue, Great articles a wonderful mix of articles and well presented. I know that I have been a critic of content in the past but this was superb
Well Done Dianne and team..

If any so called Moderator or what you wish to call yourself deletes this I will track you down and get you de-moderated. OUCH sounds painfull.
I will now get the screams "It was not me"
