Surely years ago these were spiral milled. I have done a couple of spiral milling jobs (internal m/cycle throttles) unfortunately setup time was about 95% of the job but interesting. Machinerys Handbook has some good info. |

My AF spanner set from the late 60s went up in 32nds and I still have them, Britool of course and the chrome is still on them!!! |

Don’t understand why people insist on using motor oil as a protection against corrosion it’s useless. Use a oil that does not emulsify like tag or hyd oil. |

They are cast in phbronze but not by me they were left to me by a departed friend who was an extraordinary furniture maker with leaning towards chairs. I’ve had them for a while and they are just lumps of metal unless you do something with them. I did temper the blades today and hone them and they work very nicely. |
