Sadly had to part with my ancient hound last month and worry now about getting a new one that might outlast me. On the lookout or a suitable secondhand dog. I don't have the same access to spare pets now I've retired.... pgk Many rescue/adoption organisations have great difficulty finding new 'owners' for senior dogs. Could fit your circumstances and be a two-way benefit. |

Mark, for the benefit of other Sieg SC3 users, what was the resolution ? Board damaged due to overload, and belt stripped. New board and belt purchased (Although it wasn't a warranty issue, supplied at subsidised price after mutual agreement) Ketan at ARC. Edited By Ketan Swali on 12/11/2020 16:53:23 Thanks for the update Ketan, good customer support as usual |

So DC9s have rear jet engines and apply reverse thrust with pivoted scoops that hinge into the jet stream. I've seen them at O'Hare back off the stand using reverse thrust. How does that work? Edited By John Haine on 31/10/2020 08:15:0 Such manoeuvering procedures mostly banned these days for both rear and wing mounted engines, experience found that engines were being damaged by FOD thrown up by reverser efflux was being ingested into the engine air intakes - cheaper to call for a tug. Why wouldn't that happen on runway braking? Is it kept cleaner of random debris? Don't know for sure but think that the aircraft is still travelling forward at a sufficient speed to 'overtake' any FOD thrown up by the reverse thrust, which usually reduces as the aircraft reduces speed. |

Thank you MichaelG, I was aware of Austin.TX through following the exploits of a car restorers/reformers outfit at Johnson City, Austin.TX. My comment was a wordplay and probably unkind dig at Austin/UK's export drive. . Sorry for taking your words literally, Dave MichaelG. No apology needed, Michael |
