Dulux Trade Gloss is nice to apply and should stay white for longer if you want white. I find this much thinner than the domestic version and so is much more inclined to produce runs. John |

I would like to add that I only wish I had had mine done earlier. The improvement is really dramatic, finding out the true colours of things again was a bit of a revelation. I had both mine done at the same time. This had two benefits, lower cost and reduced hospital visits. It has taken around two and a half months for things to really settle. Now my optician says I don't need specs for driving anymore so that is a bonus. John |

Television cathode ray tubes behave the same way. The capacitor is the aquadag coating with a glass dielectric. Could be a bit awkward if you get a shock while carrying the tube! John |

Just an update re my surgery that happened yesterday. The ability to see has improved remarkably. The decision to have both eyes done at the same time was the right thing to do for me. There was no discomfort at all and I had a running commentary as the operationn progressed. Colour vision has changed back to how it used to be. I don't need help for distance now and what astigmatism I had seems to have improved as well. The down side is that I do need specs for close-up work but this was expected. John
