Thread: X2 mini mill way covers
12/02/2022 07:50:40

Hi Jason.

My lead screw is exposed so I'm thinking not only the way covers but also screw cover.

Have you had any problems with your lead screw then.

Thanks

Thread: X2- clarke cmd 300 rebuild
30/01/2022 10:32:09

I purchased this in November and as of yet not used it.

Just starting to rebuild it after extensive upgrades and lots of sorting out as you all may well know.

This has been quite a long job but I'm slowly getting there. Includes belt drive conversion also support plate for column. Fitting 3 axis dro and lots of other mods. Will post pics soon

Thread: Sieg x2 gear rack
17/01/2022 13:44:18

Does anyone know the size of the gear rack on a x2 mini mill as I would like to order one that goes the full length of the column.

This will add a bit of rigidity to it as well.

Just want to know the rack sizing not the length

Many thanks in advance

Just in the process of adding extra electronics and cabling

Removed 16mm conduit changed to 20mm conduit to give me 12v and 24v in the switch unit.

Hi Thor.

Thanks for them. I found the one with pics of bearing change but not belt drive.

The other seems to be for the x1 mill.

I am really looking for some drawings so I can fab them myself.

My mill is in complete bits at the moment but I can mill at work using our bridgeport.

Got new bearings ready to install already.

I am a maintenance engineer by trade.

Lucky enough we have the bridgeport here
