Thread: Myford drip feed oiler servicing
Hi Big H,
I made one for the ML7, going back some years. The reservior was an opaque number plate light cover off a Commer 15 cwt van, it was the right shape and size. The oil control was a needle & jet.

Kettle descaler is also worth a try, not expensive for a test run.

Thread: myford super 7 motor problem
Seen your photos, what a superb collection of quality tooling.
I suspect you are from bonnie Scotland.
HI hugh mcwhinnie 1,
Just a small item, on your very nice photos, third one, Motor 2. It appears that the mains input, Line & Neutral are reversed. This will not affect your motor temperature, but it could cause Les Jones 1 to have a nightmare!
Different motor on my old ML7, but it only gets comfortably warm, even after 30 mins work.
Thread: Is it just me?
Hi Stub Mandrel,
I like your list, it appeals to me. A good foundation, that could be built on.
Talking of repairs, (You can tell I'm getting on) the younger people, if it fails to work, bin it. No questions asked. Got two grown up daughters, seen it in action. There are no doubt exceptions.
PS. I'm glad the " Enter" key works, it does make life easier.

Welcome back and thank you for the reply.
I think we have all learnt something.
Thread: Coolant Hose Thread
Hi Alan .204,
Try the link for starters. If the adaptor is going to be permanent, you only need to be close, as your yellow part appears to be plastic.

Hi naughtyboy & wife,
Spelling is not that important, it's content that counts.
We cannot afford to lose any members.
I, for one would be very interested to know what are your first & second languages.
Please give it another try.
Regards, Bear.. (71.5 years).

Hi Richard, Look into old inkjet printers. What size dia. & length are you after? Regards, Bear..
Thread: Thread identification
Hi AB658, The following info. is approx. The male end of our drain rod: Thread crests 18 mm dia. Crest to crest = 0.14 in. which is close to your 7 TPI. My thread gauge is closest at 3.50 metric. What is it you want to do? Regards, Bear..
Thread: Sony RDR-HXD890 Hdd & DVD player
Hi Everyone, Apologies to all. I agree with Jason B. I have slapped my wrists and sitting in the corner with a dunces hat on. Regards, Bear.. P.S. All seems well with Sony.
Hi Merlin, Been on AV forum. Partial fix. Go to Set Up & select France when it gives you the option. You will get your channels back, but not the guide. Better than nothing. Regards, Bear..
Hi Ian, Thanks for your reply. The problem originated from Sony, not this site. From what I can gather, Sony updated the machines, via the aerial (Don't ask) yesterday, its done automatically. Hi Merlin, Sorry to hear you are in the same boat, have you emailed Sony? Regards, Bear..
Hello Everyone, Yesterday our digital recoder lost all the channels & channel guide. It appears to be a software problem. Lots of complaints on the Sony website. Anyone else suffering from the same problem? Regards, Bear..
