South African - Born in Pretoria, I then spent a number of years in Cape Town before moving to Vancouver, Canada in the early 90's where I develop software for a living.

I am still pretty much a beginner, with  limited workshop equipment. I recently made my first engine, an Elmer 25 wobbler, followed by one or two small pieces of tooling. I am now building a Stuart 10V.

I have temporarily laid aside my plans for a 5" gauge loco. I first need to improve both my experience and the workshop..
