IMLEC 2012

As Secretary of the Nottingham Society of Model & Experimental Engineers, I would like to remind forum readers that we are proudly hosting IMLEC 2012

General Description Of The Weekend’s Activities

The event will now be held over the the two days of the weekend of 14/15 July and on Friday afternoon of 13 July to accommodate the number of entries received. NSMEE have received 28 entries to date and for this year's competition we didn't want to put any competitor on a reserve list. As a result we have decided to start the competition on the Friday afternoon.

There will be a minimum of 4 runs on the Friday with a maximum of 13 runs on the Saturday and 11 runs on the Sunday ie a total of 28 runs.

The first run on the Friday afternoon will start at 3.00pm and on the Saturday and Sunday, at 9.20am. Each loco will run for between 25 and 30 minutes pulling a train of carriages and passengers, the numbers of which are of the drivers own choosing. The turnaround time between successive runs is only 40 minutes, so some pretty slick organization is called for.
