I wondered if anyone was aware of a supplier who offers handrail stanchions suitable for 7¼" NG? (ie To hold a ¼" diameter rail) I've checked the suppliers I can think of and none seem to get anywhere near that size.

Made mine myself there is a nice item for ball turning on ebay bought one and made all my staunchions with it. If you are interested let me know and I will post full details. I will state beforehand have no connection with this company.
