There will be an air of local nostalgia when Grimsby & Cleethorpes Model Engineering Society stages its annual three-day Open Weekend over the August Bank Holiday.

The track is located in the village of Waltham, 4 miles south west of Grimsby, adjacent to Waltham Windmill.

West Wiltshire SME are holding a model engineering and hobbies show; an ideal family day out with trade stands, railway laouts and models all under cover. Outdoors there will be a working steam railway and model traction engines with opportunities ot 'have a go' and drive one of the engines.
Entry fee: £3.00 per person or £10.00 per family (2 & 2).

5th October 2014NorfolkForncette Model Engineers' Day

You are warmly invited to the 22nd annual Model Engineers' Day at Forncette Museum. Local modeller Ramon Wilson will be exhibiting his Eta diesel engines recently described in ME, alongside a wide ranging display of models from all fields of engineering. The museum's air supply will be available and there are facilities for using your own boiler. We hope to have a number of road steam vehicles running in the yard and, subject to clearing the weed, RC vessels on the pond as well.
New exhibitors are very welcome, with either finished models or work in progress.

7th and 14th DecemberWest SussexChristmas Events at Chchester SME
 Blackberry Lane, near the junction of Bognor Road and Whyke Road in Chichester (East) PO19 7FS

On Sunday afternoons, 7 and 14 December, 2014, between 1.00 pm and 4.00 pm; Chichester Model Engineers are inviting everybody to come along to their site in Blackberry Lane, near the junction of Bognor Road and Whyke Road in Chichester (East) PO19 7FS for a Train Ride behind a selection of different miniature locomotives, Entry will be only £8 for children, who will be given a present by Father Christmas; and £4 for everybody else, which includes a hot or cold drink, and a mince or apple pie (the prices are the same as last year).
The “Drive a Train Yourself” 00 gauge model railway, “Blackberry Junction”, will be in use. This has three circuits of track, each with its own controller and donations box.
